These 5 factors determine a property’s value.

  • Location

    Whether a property is located on a busy road or in the quiet idyll makes a significant difference. What is the view like? How’s the neighborhood? Are there transit options, schools, healthcare, and shopping nearby?

  • Year built

    How old and how well preserved is the building fabric of the property? At certain times construction was “faster” and in some “more sustainable”. Vintage charm can add value; some 1960s mass construction styles can detract.

  • Size

    Of course the size of a property determines the available living space. How many rooms are there, how large are they? What about a patio or yard? Is a large lot available?

  • Condition

    Is the property recently renovated and in top condition? Then the price is of course different compared to a property with deferred maintenance or major repair needs.

  • Amenities
